Before deducting from your security deposit, your landlord must provide you with written notice of any additional cleaning that needs to be done and give you 24 hours to complete it.
If your landlord deducts money from your deposit, he/she must return the remainder of your deposit, if any, along with a written, itemized list of all deductions no later than 30 days after you vacate.
